Arallab Medical Inc. was established as a research and development company to offer innovative products and solutions in the fields of robotics, electronics, mechatronics, bio-technologies and healthcare using novel technologies and approaches. Arallab has given its priority to the development of technologically advanced, easy-to-use, portable, remotely accessible, and most importantly affordable auxiliary systems needed for a healthy and sustainable life.

 

The Avicenna Hand Project took its inspiration from the hope and joy of children with limb loss. Bionic hands are advanced, practical and liberating but they are very expensive, therefore it is afforded by only a fraction of the amputees. Due to the physical growth of the body, children are especially disadvantaged, because they will have to change it after some time. In search of a solution to remove the obstacles between the difficulties children and the grown ups face, their dreams to improve their quality of life, Arallab Bionics started to work on the Avicenna Hand which is affordable, resizable, customizable and innovative.

 

Current upper limb prostheses are available as very expensive bionic hands,  hooks, retainers or. With this project, it is expected that the bionic hand technology will become more beautiful, functional and much more accessible by the people.
